Bun-Day Monday: Twisted Side Bun

Happy Bun-Day Monday! I don’t know if I’ve really gone into depth about how low maintenance I usually am with my hair. Like so low-maintenance it’s scary. I don’t own a hairdryer (because I wont use it), I just started using conditioner, and I don’t put any products in my hair…except occasionally hair spray. I told my hair stylist this once and she was horrified. And you all know how often I use dry shampoo from my batiste blog here. So yes I am just so lazy when it comes to hair in general… Which led me to put my hair into buns because to me it’s easy and fast. My favorite bun is a messy knot on the top of my head but that’s not a cute hairstyle every single day.

For this style I followed these steps:

  1. Tease crown.
  2. Part hair far to one side.
  3. Take two strands above forehead and twist together while pulling more hair into the twist until you get to the bottom of your hair.
  4. Curl the twist into a bun and tie with elastic.
  5. Gently pull out the twist.

Pretty easy. I don’t like to use a ton of styling products unless absolutely necessary but so far I haven’t found a need for them. I also don’t like to use bobby pins because I find that if you use one, you have to use 20 more so I just try to avoid that if possible. Also I prefer very lose and slightly messy up-dos which is why I pull it apart after I’ve twisted it. If anyone else out there is as lazy with hair as I am, I hope this style helps!
